Compare like with like
Use the same ground viewpoints as earlier photographs and look for visible changes in slate alignment, gutters, and roof details. From accessible interior areas, note new staining or evidence of moisture. Record the date and any recent weather event that may be relevant. Do not treat a lack of visible changes as a substitute for a planned professional inspection.

Prioritize the next visit
Send the observations to the contractor with the previous service report. Ask which items need prompt attention and which can be reviewed at the next scheduled visit. If several trades will work on the building, coordinate their access before roofing repairs are finalized. Store this year's record beside earlier ones to build a useful history of recurring and isolated conditions.
