Ask about the assigned team
Find out who will supervise the work and what experience the crew has with the specified slate and details. Ask whether specialist sheet-metal or masonry work is performed by the same company or coordinated with another trade. A clear answer helps you understand who will make field decisions when a junction differs from the drawings.

Establish communication early
Identify the person who can answer owner questions and approve or escalate changes. Discuss when progress updates will occur and how concealed work will be documented. If the crew changes during the project, ask how the approved sample, layout, and details will be carried forward. Continuity of information matters as much as a familiar name on the proposal.
