Identify the direction of drainage
Draw which surface sits above the other and how water crosses the junction. The detailing needs to account for the requirements of both materials, their substrates, and the geometry of the transition. A photograph of a superficially similar roof is not enough to select a construction detail.

Assign one coordinated connection
Ask the designer and both roofing trades to agree on the interface before either system reaches it. Record who provides the transition flashing, who reviews the concealed work, and how future repairs can be made. The important outcome is a continuous, documented drainage path rather than two independently completed roof edges that happen to meet.
