Connect labels to locations
Photograph pallet or lot labels before packaging is discarded. Record which deliveries feed each roof zone, using the same slope names as the drawings. If material is blended across pallets, note the method rather than implying each area contains one isolated lot. Keep representative samples labeled with the product and delivery information.

Use the map after installation
Store the map with the completion photographs and spare-stock inventory. If a later question concerns appearance, matching, or material documentation, the owner can trace the relevant order more readily. The record does not diagnose a defect by itself, but it gives a supplier or contractor a better starting point than an unlabeled roof photograph and an uncertain memory of when the stone arrived.
