Work backward from occupancy
Identify the date when entrances, grounds, and interior spaces must return to normal use. Ask the contractor to explain the proposed sequence and any activities that could continue after reopening under an agreed protection plan. Confirm that the specified slate and critical accessories are available before relying on the closure period for the whole project.

Plan the handover explicitly
Include cleanup, removal of equipment, accessible-area inspection, and communication with facility staff in the schedule. Clarify which roof zones will be complete and whether any temporary conditions will remain. Keep the school contact informed of changes early enough to adjust operations. A short holiday window is a scheduling constraint, not a reason to leave unresolved building protection or incomplete documentation.
