Prepare before the meeting
Bring the roof-zone plan, agreed changes, and the contractor's completion records. Ask how the relevant areas will be viewed safely and which concealed work is documented separately. Avoid expecting a ground-level tour to verify every hidden component.

Create a clear closeout list
Record each remaining item with its location, responsible party, and agreed next step. Distinguish unfinished work, requested documentation, and matters requiring further assessment. Confirm the spare-stock handover and material references. The result should be a shared written account of completion status rather than a general statement that the roof looks finished from the driveway.
