Compare the work with the scope
Review completion photographs against the proposal. Confirm that identified slate replacements and flashing work are accounted for, and ask about any changes made during the job. Save the final material information, especially if matching pieces were sourced. Note anything the contractor recommends monitoring rather than assuming every roof concern was part of a limited repair.

Observe the building afterward
From safe interior and ground locations, watch for renewed dripping, fresh staining, or pieces that appear displaced. Record when the observations occur and the weather conditions. Contact the contractor promptly if the original symptom returns, using the same labeled photographs from the initial report. A concise, factual follow-up is more useful than starting a new repair discussion without the earlier evidence.
