Map the important viewpoints
Identify terraces, windows, and elevated public areas from which people will see the roof. These views may reveal pattern distribution, penetrations, and metal work that are less apparent from the ground. Bring those perspectives into the design discussion before equipment locations and material layouts are finalized.

Review the complete composition
Compare the slate selection with visible flashings, gutters, and roof-mounted items. Ask whether a representative sample arrangement can be viewed from a similar angle. This is an appearance review, not a reason to compromise technical details. A clear set of viewpoints helps the project team make intentional decisions and gives the owner a realistic expectation of the finished result.
