Show how the building is used
Give contractors a plan of regularly used doors, accessible routes, service times, and deliveries. Explain which functions must continue during the proposed work. Ask the contractor to identify the site arrangements included in the quotation and any assumptions about closing parts of the building.

Resolve differences before award
If one bid assumes unrestricted access and another includes arrangements for continued occupancy, their totals are not directly comparable. Have the church and contractors agree on the operational requirements in writing. Let the responsible professionals define protection and access measures. This makes the accepted quotation more representative of the real job and reduces avoidable disagreement once work begins.
