Send more than a close-up
Include a wide roof view, several representative pieces, and an edge view with a scale reference. Avoid heavy filters or edits that change color. If possible, provide photographs in ordinary daylight and explain whether the roof was wet. Old invoices or pallet labels can be more useful for identifying a product than an unusually vivid image.

Confirm with material
Before placing a substantial order, ask for a physical sample and compare it with the roof's actual material through the contractor. Check size and thickness as well as color. A photograph cannot establish material performance or prove that two similarly named products come from the same source. Record what remains uncertain and resolve the important differences before the matching decision becomes a delivery commitment.
