Request the current system information
Ask for installation instructions, material identification, applicable evaluation or test documentation, and limitations relevant to the project. Identify required carriers, interlayers, accessories, fasteners, and flashing interfaces. Confirm that the instructions apply to the actual version being supplied. A photograph of real stone does not describe how the entire roof assembly is designed to work.

Review installation and repair together
Have the installer explain how an individual piece can be replaced and what parts should be retained for future service. Discuss whether changes to a component are permitted by the system provider. Keep the accepted documents with the roof record. This supports a decision based on a defined assembly and a practical maintenance plan rather than a comparison of stone weight alone.
