Define the delivery endpoint
A quotation may cover transport to a freight terminal, curbside arrival, or a site with agreed unloading arrangements. Those are different services. Give suppliers the exact destination, site restrictions, and requested delivery conditions. Ask who provides unloading equipment and who confirms that the equipment is suitable for the packaged load.

Compare the whole transaction
Record freight, unloading, appointment requirements, storage, and any potential redelivery charges as separate questions. Obtain written clarification of exclusions before ordering. If one supplier offers a lower material price but a different delivery arrangement, compare the complete landed scope. Avoid estimating freight from distance alone; the actual carrier quotation and site conditions govern.
